Fluff Stats

Either due to the genes he was born with or because of some nuance in the Astartes implants he was gifted, their merger has made Brother Vicente’s scalp completely bald. As bald as his pale face. Hard. Reserved. Wearing his helm as often as his goggles when in his “Corvus” armor, he also likes to slink around in a black synskin in downtime. The weathered Astartes carries his stalker-bolter and sniper rifle in the former, but is never without his silenced bolt-pistol.
If Brother Vicente has ever smiled, it wasn’t captured on the thousands of still and motion-picts there are of him. The Sergeant would rather watch and listen than demonstrate and speak. It is better to keep others in the dark about the bigger picture, and let them only know their role in a plan. Whenever he finally does open his mouth, those around him usually regret it. Although he never states it outright, there is little doubt that he feels he could plan and execute a mission better than anyone else in the room.
His disdain towards “superiors” is kept mostly directed away from Astartes and the Ordos. Another more positive and common reason for Vicente to “open up” is his uncanny perception. He likes to point out subtle things and coax others to see them as well. More often than not, he seems to notice such things when he is not even looking for them. Almost antithesis to his doctrine, his frustration for inaction is immeasurable. Any patience he once had was lost in many drawn-out negotiations and other stalling tactics of the Tau. The Raven Guard usually regains his composure when he puts himself to work.
Even before he became Vicente the Space Marine, Ingram’s life relied on his subtlety. His job was prospecting old precarious mining tunnels in search of one that wasn’t exhausted and could be reopened. One misstep, one loud noise, and he would be buried without anyone ever knowing it.
There was a draft muster one year. All those who could locate and reach the Ravenspire undetected would be given a once in a hundred lifetimes chance. There were two at the end. They had announced themselves at the gates. Ingram slipped in as monstrous men led his competitors inside. He remained undetected until the last possible moment. Grueling training, indoctrination, and surgeries followed. Initiate Vicente came close to death several times.
He had barely been a Astartes Scout a week before his sergeant put him up for a Marksman’s Honour. Raven skull in hand, he disappeared into the crowd while in assault and devastator squads. Not the good kind either. After much violence in His name, Brother Vicente made it into a tactical squad. It wouldn’t be long before he would earn an Iron Skull and fall into a niche training scouts of his own.
He was nominated as the next Master of Recruits, but Vicente renounced it before a decision was made. Although he would have preferred to hold such an esteemed title, duty obliged him to endure another stint in the Deathwatch that he had previously requested, been granted, and was to embark immediately after his squad’s current deployment.
